Cost Reduction Examples
CASE3 Recovery of oil floating from water solution
cleaning fluid
What is extended life?
It is possible to extend the life of the cleaning fluid and to recycle and reuse oil, by removing micro-particles in each type of water solution that had been carried in from a previous process.
Also, we prevented the cleaning fluid from decaying by preventing bacteria from breeding, by removing the micro-particles.
Customer Concerns
- 1, Large quantity of waste fluid → increased costs to
purchase oils, increased costs to treat waste solution - 2. Poor work efficiency → Increased hours for updating
work - 3. Negative effects on later processes → processing
defects occur
Our proposal
updating by using life-prolonging device
Floating oil recovery flow by extending
equipment life
- 1, Extended solution life
- Reduced frequency to replace → Reduced oil
purchasing cost
Reduced waste solution treatment costs- 2. Improved productivity
- Improved working efficiency → Reduced
updating labor costs
Improved work losses- 3. Reduced processing trouble
- Improved product quality → Improved welding
problems and painting defects- 4. Reduced processing defect rate
- Improved product quality → Improved cleaning
and processing precision - Reduced frequency to replace → Reduced oil
